During Robert Haimer’s nearly five-decades-long career as a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer he was half of the comedy duo Barnes & Barnes, with his childhood friend Bill Mumy. He is perhaps best known for the 1978 novelty song “Fish Heads,” and the MTV and Saturday Night Live featured music video “Fish Heads,” which also launched lifelong friendships with Bill Paxton, and Dr. Demento (Barry Hansen).
