Description
Heimfeld Guitar Pick 2020 reunion line-up German Rock Band RARE
**The band HEIMFELD was founded in September 2000 by Marco Steiner, Dennis Brandau and Torsten Becker and was named after the Hamburg district of the same name. Steiner and Brandau had joint band projects since 1993, such as “Voyeur” and “Linie 610”. After bassist Marcel Blunk (later Balboa Inn) left the band, the brothers Jens and Jan Ullrich completed the formation. Jan had previously been the band’s guitar technician. Together they gained a considerable fan base in the Hamburg area. They performed regularly at Hamburg’s LOGO and Rieckhof, but were also present at festivals such as the Hamburg Rockspektakel or the Harburg Inland Harbour Festival.
In 2007, the band said goodbye for a creative break, from which they did not return in their original line-up. In 2009, HEIMFELD performed with Mattäus Ullrich (little brother of Jens and Jan Ullrich) and Jan S. Eckert (Masterplan, Iron Savior, among others), but could not build on their old successes. To this day, the band’s separation has never been officially announced. 20 years after its founding, the band announced its comeback in 2020 with the original line-up.
